Water body at Eco-Park

Do you like to spend your weekend with your spouse and kids in a park? Who doesn’t love park? Specially, children are fond of it. Park means full of green lands, varieties of flowers, different types of rides etc. Park means a place dedicated to children for relaxing the weekends.

Have you ever seen a park with hidden ponds? I have never seen, even have never heard before. Yes, there is a park in Kolkata where you will be able to see a hidden pond. It seems like a green land, but below the green land water body is hidden. How will you come to know about this water body being a first visitor if nowhere it is written?

We all know smoking is injurious yet every places I have seen signboards for alarming about this. Even in the cinema hall before starting a movie, many times reminder about smoking is given. How can a park exist without alarming about the water bodies?

I am residing beside this park named Eco Park. Many times I have visited this park with my little one. Even last year on 25th December, I had visited this park along with my sister’s family. I was leading the entire group consists of three kids, my mother, sister and me. I told the kids – ” Now, you are safe. We are sitting here. You play here”. I didn’t aware about water bodies at Eco Park.

After reading today’s newspaper, I got shocked. Now, I feel that no place is safe for kids.

Last Saturday, we have lost this child. Four and a-half-year-old Sk Owa drowned in a water body covered in algae and later found as dead.

The child’s mother was blaming herself, even the Park authority too. It is the park authority who should blame themselves not the mother of the child.

Blaming is not the solution. We are standing in such an era where no place is safe for our kids. Roads, schools, play grounds, parks – in all these places kids have become victims.

Negative side of Imagination – Krittika Paul’s Real Story

Imagination has great power. It is a great art too. All people can’t imagine but some people can even imagine life after death.

What do we think about the power of imagination? We generally treat this as a positive power of the mind. However, it may have a negative impact also. Scientists also have wide imagination power. They study science only. They are continuously improving our technology, discovering new things for the improvement of our nation. When imagination has a good purpose(to improve society), it provides a fruitful result.

Have we negatively imagined the things? Some people do. They don’t even know that their thoughts are powerful in a negative direction. But how does it become possible for them to imagine things in a negative direction? The reason is their inner thinking, their silent activities. If people read stories of adventures – death eater, stories of ghosts, stories of life after death, different outputs will be achieved from different people. Some people enjoy the storybooks and then forget. These people know how to keep a balance between the imaginary world and the real world. Some people read two-three pages and loose interest. These people believe in reality. Some people lose themselves while reading imaginative storybooks. These people try to experiment with those things plotted in their storybooks. These people are extraordinary. They forget their existence in this real world. They roam in their imaginative world. They try to stay alone. They feel that they are not alone but others will notice their absent minds. It becomes very difficult to divert these type of people from their imaginative world.

Recently I came across one incident. This incident will show you the tremendous negative power of imagination.

Krittika Paul, a student of class ten from Baruipur, Kolkata committed suicide last Friday. She had no smartphone, she had no addiction to TV. She used to read storybooks. She was the first girl in the 10th class. She has high ambition. Her imagination helps her not to focus on her future only but also it helps her to focus on adventures. It provokes her to research on death. Her parents couldn’t find any odd nature within her. She was very intelligent, smart. The power of imagination helps her not to reveal her actual motto of life. These types of people can’t talk freely for a long time with family members. She had written in her suicide note that police can not find out the reason for her suicide. This implies that she has no enemy in this real world. She has good relationships with her friends. She was very good at her school. Police are still trying to investigate the actual reason behind her suicide.

I feel that parents only can investigate the reason. I believe that a distance had been created between Krittika and her parents. This distance is quite natural for ordinary kids. If Krittika’s parents would have tried to refrain her from this today, she would have committed suicide some other day. I believe that if it would become possible to divert Krittika from her imaginary negative world to the spiritual world which is also an imaginary world but positive or to the scientific world, then only suicide could be prevented.

If kids become smart and intelligent, I think that parents of those kids are also intelligent. These types of parents have a great responsibility for their kids. The mother of these kids should have the capability to enter their kids’ minds silently. Parents will get some hints about their negative power from their childhood. Maximum parents ignore these hints and instead of caring them, they scold their kids and do the mistakes. In this generation, as kids are very smart, parents are also to be smart. Parents should have more smartness than that of their kids, otherwise, it will be very difficult to handle kids like Krittika.
