As a result — Kolkata is losing its brightest minds every year. Young engineers are forced to migrate, leaving behind their families and emotional roots — not by choice, but by lack of opportunity.
Today, co-working spaces, plug-and-play offices, remote collaboration, digital infrastructure — everything is available. Setting up a design or engineering branch in Kolkata does not require heavy real estate investment or government permissions like before.
So I humbly ask — Can we not together help Kolkata grow?
- Why not open your design or engineering excellence centers here?
- Why let this city be seen as “low-cost” when its talent quality is world-class?
- Salaries must match skills — Kolkata is no longer cheap if one wants to live with dignity.
Mother Teresa chose Kolkata because she saw immense scope to build and transform lives.
Similarly, I request business leaders — choose Kolkata not out of charity, but opportunity.
